Two Bruce Harrell Scandals in One Month
Intimidating a pregnant lady with a gun, treating women in the workplace as second class citizens.
“It is a hard thing to serve when you are surrounded by people who are more attracted to the power than they are the work.”
In an explosive interview with KUOW, Seattle Mayor Harrell’s former #2 (Senior Deputy Mayor) and niece Monisha Harrell painted a picture of Harrell and his administration that are overtly sexist, absurdly frat-like, financially wasteful, and poorly managed.
Six current and former staffers confirmed this, although another five current staffers reached out to KUOW unprompted and disparaged Harrell. Interestingly, Harrell has been previously accused of pushing for a smear campaigns to discredit a woman who pointed out abuse.
The city’s workplace is clearly thick with ick, and in the interview Harrell comes off as a truly absurd character.
“One former female employee described what happened when she raised concerns with the mayor. She said that the mayor summoned her to his office, where he pounded his chest and said, “Are you trying to buck up on me?”
Pointing a gun at a lady who is eight months pregnant, plus the baby’s soon to be grandma and dad
KUOW also had another explosive story, uncovering that Harrell was arrested for threatening people with a gun in a parking dispute. According to KUOW, Harrell’s version now attempts to soften the story he told the Iowa newspaper at the time of his arrest. That’s NPR speak for- bullshit!
KUOW later went on to report that the people Harrell threatened included a woman who was eight months pregnant at the time, her husband, and her mother. The then- pregnant woman also says Harrell drove up to them to threaten them.
“There are details she told KUOW she’ll never forget, like when Harrell drove slowly past her, her husband Jose, and her mother, and, she said, pointed his silver pistol at them. She was eight months pregnant at the time.”
Please make sure at least five people you know in Seattle, who are not political, read these stories. Harrell is unfit for office.
